The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) will hold the first ever MCQ Based Preliminary Test (MPT) on 20th February, 2022 (Sunday). It is mandatory to qualify MPT for appearing in the main written CSS Competitive Examination, 2022 for recruitment. These include posts in BS-17 in twelve Occupational Groups/Services of the Federal Government.
The MPT CSS Screening Test is likely to be held at following centres in the below outlined cities depending on the availability of sufficient candidates:
Male, female and people with disabilities who have obtained a minimum of a 2nd Division Bachelor’s degree in the 21 to 30 years age range are eligible. The upper age limit is relaxable by two years for categories mentioned in Rule 6 of CSS Competitive Examination Rules-2019 and onwards, subject to fulfillment of documentary requirements.
The cutoff date for determining the eligibility of the candidate in terms of age, qualification, domicile etc, is 31st December, 2021

Each applicant is required to register himself/herself with the system once before applying. For this purpose, you can use the FPSC’s website with a 8.0+ version of Chrome, Firefox or Internet explorer. At the registration screen, the MPT CSS Screening Test candidates MUST enter the following information correctly: Full Name, Login, Password, Confirm Password, Email Address, Computerized NIC, Verification Code.
In this stage, you are to create your official profile for the FPSC MPT CSS Screening Test by entering the relevant information including your academic background, the exam details, disabilities.
When your stage 2 profile entries are found correct, you can select the option “Apply for CSS” from the profile menu, and select “Apply” to proceed further. You will then be asked to provide Treasury/Challan Receipt Original treasury Receipt number, the Amount of Rs. 250, Bank and Branch Name, District and Code as well as the Receipt Date and Test Centre. You will then be shown a final screen which contains complete entries of your profile.Please re-check the entries before selecting the "Confirm and Apply" option. In case any correction is required, select the "Cancel" option and update your entries. Then your online application is complete!
You will then have to Select “Application History” to Print the online form, which you can keep for your own records also.
Aspirants for the test are to deposit 250 PKR as the CSS Screening Test Preliminary MCQ Exam Fee before the closing date in the nearest Government Treasury/State Bank of Pakistan/National Bank of Pakistan under the account head “C02101-Organs of State Exam fee (FPSC Receipt) and bring Original Challan form at Exam Center at the time of appearing in the Test.
They are also to download computer generated Admission Certificates from the FPSC website. Click here to access it. In this regard, the intimation sent through post is not to be accepted. Also, the examination centre once selected can not be changed so choose wisely.. Any requests afterwards will not be accepted by the FPSC either. Please make sure you correctly input all the information, including the CNIC Number & Date of Birth in online form. If you input it incorrectly, you may face rejection from the CSS Screening Test Preliminary MCQ Test. It is also crucial that you comply with the CSS CE Rule. Also, please make sure to study well and not resort to any measures such as cheating since the FPSC has a strict No Cheating policy. You could be barred or disqualified from taking the CSS Screening Test Preliminary MCQ Test at all.
