As per the LUMS website, Nov 5th 2021 is the date announced for the activation of the  LUMS Online Admission Application! Before you start to apply, read carefully through this article to ensure you know the basic information about LUMS, its history, schools, and are aware of the LUMS 2021 application process. 

About LUMS

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is a private research university in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. LUMS is renowned around the world and is ranked on the QS University Rankings as in the top 700 of universities around the world. Besides that, LUMS is also among the top 250 universities globally for business and among the top 400 universities globally in mathematics according to the QS. LUMS was founded in 1986 with the Suleman Dawood School of Business first opening its doors in 1986, next the School of Arts & Sciences in 1994, then the Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering in 2008, followed by the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law in 2014 and finally the LUMS Education School in 2017. 

LUMS also launched the National Outreach Programme (NOP) in 2011 as an initiative to bring the best of the best students in underprivileged areas and social background to study at LUMS under an appropriate academic program and prepared and primed for the universities rigorous admission process while providing full financial coverage to those select candidates who qualify for their degree at LUMS. LUMS loan scheme also covers 20%-100% of the tuition fee component of the student, and it is to note that the LUMS loans are absolutely interest-free. This is owing to LUMS Not-for-profit stature. 

A significant number of the students at LUMS reside on the university campus, with a total of 12 hostels for the male and female students. The Syed Maratab Ali Sports Complex has faciclaites for a gym and sports (basketball, squash, cricket and tennis). There is also theCoca-Cola Aquatic Centre with an Olympic-size swimming pool funded through a PKR 22 Mil Grant from Coca-Cola and CO.

The Gad & Birgit Rausing Library at LUMS has 350,000 + volumes and it is involved in providing loans, information searching, reference services etc. 

Step-By-Step Guide: Apply to LUMS!

These are the step by step guides to apply to LUMS for Fall 2022 through the LUMS Online Admissions. 

1. Account Creation

If you already have an account in the past two years on the  LUMS Online Admissions portal, you do not need to create an alternate one. Instead, you can apply with the same account for Fall 2022 with last years credentials i.e. Username and Password. If you need to create a new application and the account that comes with it, you can click here. More instructions for account creation can be found on the upper right corner of the Account Creation page.Although you can have multiple applications depending on the degree program you are opting for one one single account, it suggested to only make one account for the process of the online application submission. The details can be used for future applications as well. After you have created your account, you will very soon receive an email for verification for your identity after which the credentials candidates have supplied as the Username and Password will allow candidates to access the LUMS Online Admission application.

After making an account, applicants are urged to write down their sign-in details, such as their Username and Password, and not to share this information with anyone else. To re-enter the system, they'll require these.

2. Degree Programme Selection

Applicants need to select a Degree Programme of their choice to start applying for the Fall 2022 admissions. 

You will be required to pick a program to begin your application for the admissions for your semester i.e Fall 2022. 

3. Application Submission 

Candidates must complete the following steps in order to complete the Application Form:

• Applicants must read the instructions in the upper right corner of each given section attentively.

• Applicants are to also fill out properly each component of the Application Form with accurate and complete information, and they may do so in more than one session.

• The status bar displays the overall state of the Application Form. If you are an applicant who wishes to be evaluated for LUMS financial aid, you must express their purpose by selecting an acceptable choice in the Financial Aid part of the Biographical section.

• Only those who have shown an interest in applying for LUMS Financial Aid will be considered.

4. Uploading Relevant Documents

Applicants who are interested in applying must also scan and upload legible copies of all needed supporting papers by the dates listed on the Document Checklist, which is available when the Application Form is submitted by the deadlines.

5. Fee Payment

Candidates are also to download a generated Fee voucher through the system and pay the fees for the Application Processing and LUMS Test Registration Fee (if it is needed) on or before the deadline mentioned in the voucher.

6. Letters of Recommendation

At least two Teachers Evaluations/Letters of Recommendation should be submitted by the Referees on or before the given deadline.

Candidates are also required to submit a total of two Letters of Recommendations. These are to be submitted by the given referees and this is to be done before the application deadline, or on it. 

PS: Don’t Forget

• Applications that are incomplete, missing needed documentation, or not submitted by the deadline will not be considered by the LUMS admissions team.

• Applications will be processed based on the information given by candidates via the Online Application Form, so please make sure you fill out the form completely and accurately.

• All inquiries should be sent to the Office of Admissions using the Ask Admissions link in the upper right corner of your application. Within two working days, you should hear from us.
