To bridge this gap, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with technical consultation from Shahrukh Swati, Co-Founder and COO of Nearpeer, has launched Pakistan’s first Global Virtual School.
This project is designed to bring modern digital education to students from Grade 6 to Grade 12, especially across areas like Peshawar, Chitral, Swat, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohistan, and every corner of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

How Nearpeer's Co-founder Shahrukh Swati Helped Build the KPK Global Virtual School
Every large-scale education technology project needs a strong digital vision, a practical learning model, and a platform that can work for thousands of students at the same time.
Shahrukh Swati, Co-Founder and COO of Nearpeer, served as a technical consultant for the KPK Government’s Global Virtual School project.
With nearly a decade of experience in building digital education systems, he worked with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation to help shape the project’s digital vision, including the LMS, Digital Learning Labs, AI-powered learning features, teacher training framework, and student learning experience.
As part of the implementation process, digital transformation workshops were also conducted for teachers, supporting the early rollout across government schools and helping build the foundation of a scalable digital education ecosystem.
