The Government of Punjab converted 76 Foreign Self-Finance Seats (72 MBBS and 04 BDS) in public sector medical and dental colleges of Punjab, into Open Merit Seats for the Children of Overseas Pakistanis/Dual Nationality Holders of Pakistani origin, in 2015.
-Fee Structure: The fee structure for these 76 reserved seats is the same as that for Open Merit Seats for local students of Punjab, in the respective medical colleges.
-Distribution of seats:
These 76 seats are distributed among various medical institutes of Punjab as follows:
For MBBS:
1. King Edward Medical College Lahore: 04
2. Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore: 04
3. Nishtar Medical College Multan: 04
4. Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore: 04
5. Punjab Medical College Faisalabad: 04
6. Rawalpindi Medical College Rawalpindi: 04
7. Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur: 04
8. Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore: 02
9. Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Medical, Lahore: 10
10. Nawaz Sharif Medical College Gujrat: 10
11. Shaikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan: 02
12. Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha: 20
For BDS:
13. de'Montmorency College of Dentistry Lahore: 02
14. Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan: 02
-Admission Criterion:
Following criteria must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for admission on the aforementioned seats
a. The candidate has passed HSSC (Pre-Medical)/ equivalent exam with a minimum of 60 percent marks either from abroad or Pakistan.
b. The subjects in HSSC/equivalent exam must include Biology and Chemistry.
c. The candidate has either appeared in the
-Entrance Test of Punjab for the current session
-or has appeared in SAT II examination scoring a minimum of 550/800 marks each in Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Mathematics
-or has cleared MCAT of United States with an aggregate score of 24 and above.
d. The scores of Entrance Test of Punjab are valid for one year, that is, for the current session only whereas the validity of SAT II and MCAT scores is two years.
-Weightage criterion:
Admission will be purely merit-based and the aggregate will be calculated by adding marks according to the following formula
Matriculation (SSC/ Equivalent): 10 percent
HSSC/Pre-Medical/Equivalent): 40 percent
Entrance Test/SAT II/MCAT (weighted): 50 percent
-Merit on dual nationality/overseas seats for 2017-18:
The highest and closing merits of different medical colleges/universities across Punjab for overseas/dual nationality seats are given as follows:
a. King Edward Medical University:
Out of the four reserved seats in KEMU for overseas candidates or candidates with dual nationality, the highest aggregate was 95.0000 while the merit was closed at 94.4371 in KEMU.
b. Allama Iqbal Medical College:
Out of the four reserved seats in AIMC for overseas candidates or candidates with dual nationality, the highest aggregate was 94.3750 while the merit was closed at 93.4129 in AIMC.
c. Services Institute of Medical Sciences:
SIMS has two seats reserved for overseas students or for students with dual nationality. The merit for these two seats was 93.4323 and 92.5159 for the year 2017-18.
d. Nishtar Medical College, Multan:
Out of the four reserved seats for overseas candidates, the merit was found to be as follows:
Highest merit: 92.7242
Closing merit: 89.4909
e. Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore:
Out of the four reserved seats for overseas candidates, the merit was found to be as follows:

The admission was awarded to candidates with aggregates 90.0159 and 89.5341

There are two seats for BDS in Nishtar Institute of Dentistry, Multan.
The admission was awarded to candidates with aggregates 88.5028 and 88.4246
